Trauma is more common than many realise, and its impacts can influence communication, behaviour, performance, and relationships – both in the workplace and in everyday life.
Trauma 101 provides a practical foundation for understanding how trauma affects the brain, behaviour, and connection, and what this means in real-world interactions.
By building trauma awareness, organisations can strengthen psychological safety, support confident leadership, and respond more effectively to stress and distress. Individuals gain valuable tools to support themselves and others with greater understanding, confidence, and care.
Blueprint for Learning delivers Trauma 101 as both a private workshop for organisations and a public workshop open to individuals. Whether you are supporting a team or looking to build your own understanding, Trauma 101 offers a practical, accessible introduction to trauma and its impacts.
Invest in Trauma 101 for your team or yourself
Many people will have experienced trauma, or may be supporting a colleague, friend, or whānau member experiencing distress. Without the right understanding, these experiences can affect wellbeing, communication, and connection at work and in everyday life.
- Trauma 101 equips participants with practical tools and a shared language to respond safely, respectfully, and effectively.
- The workshop is delivered in person over one full day.
- Participants receive a certificate with CPD hours upon completion.
For organisations booking a private workshop, a post-workshop impact report is provided, summarising participant feedback and key insights to help inform future wellbeing initiatives and organisational development planning.
Trauma 101 is designed for adults 18 years old and over.

Can't say enough good things about Blueprint. It was a breath of fresh air dealing with a organisation that actually did what it said it was going to. 10/10 in every aspect.

Just wanted to say how much we all enjoyed the workshop on Tuesday. The session was very well-run and professional, reflecting Blueprint for Learning's meticulous planning and commitment to excellence. [I was] so impressed with the whole professionalism of the workshop and my interaction with Blueprint for Learning.

Working with Blueprint for Learning was a breeze - from start to finish we really felt the professionalism and the support. The communication was quick and easy, all questions and concerns raised were answered in a timely manner. And although we came from a minority group (ethnic community/disabled) we felt we were seen, heard and valued.
