Maia Nicholls
Operations Support Coordinator
Kia ora!
I grew up in a small seaside town in the South Island’s beautiful Banks Peninsula, where I was immersed in nature and wildlife. I find deep purpose and passion in life through my core value of caring for the people and environment around me. This is my driving force, and is reflected in my qualifications, career, and volunteer work.
I have a Bachelor of Arts with Honours in psychology, specialising in women’s health. I have volunteer experience working in Nepal within conservation, childcare, emergency housing, and mental health and disability services. My expertise and interest is informed by critical lived experience within mental health, making it a topic that is very close to my heart.
Here at Blueprint for Learning, I work diligently in my role as an Operations Support Coordinator to ensure the smooth running of workshops through resource coordination and team support. I am proud to be a part of work that makes a tangible difference to the wellbeing of New Zealanders.
Outside of my mahi, I love to recharge through nature, wildlife, friends, and creativity. You’ll find me walking Aotearoa’s beautiful beaches and bush tracks, getting stuck into a creative project, in the gym, at a pottery class, and taking any chance I can to soak up the sun!
