Brenda Christie
Facilitator Development Coordinator
I bring my strong background to Blueprint for Learning for education and capability development. From 2017 to 2021 I was engaged in contract roles across the public sector and NGOs. Previously, I worked with The Open Polytechnic, Whitireia Polytechnic, Victoria University (tutor), Industry Training, Kiwi Rail and Wellington Free Ambulance.
Great facilitation is the result of continuously ‘crafting’ the role to provide the best possible experience and impact for learners. I have a passion for the world of learning and development, because through great guidance and support learners can progress positively on their personal learning journey. This often has additional benefits for whanau and friends.
I also enjoy working with a continuous improvement ‘lens’ to support Blueprint for Learning to provide consistent, quality education and great outcomes for participants and organisational customers.
I love all food (except tripe and brains – my mother is Scottish!), being outdoors (walking or hanging out at the beach) and movies. When I am not supporting my four adult children and eight mokopuna (1 -13 years), I like to escape for adventure trekking and climbing which has included Everest region, Nepal (climbed to 4,500 metres), Scotland, Andes in Peru and Turkey.
