Addiction 101 Webinar
Understanding addiction and recovery.
Addiction 101 is designed to increase awareness and reduce stigma associated with addiction – both at work and everyday life. It will be held as a webinar series over three days which provides participants with more flexibility to fit the webinars around their work schedule. Each session is 2 – 2.5hrs long. Blueprint for Learning’s webinar sessions utilise the best of Zoom meeting technology to provide an interactive and engaging learning experience for participants. Participants are supported by a webinar host alongside two facilitators.
The Addiction 101 webinar will be delivered through Zoom. Our webinars are interactive and to get the most out of the sessions, you will need to have:
- a stable internet connection.
- your own device as you will be going into breakout rooms.
- a microphone and camera connected to your device.
If there are multiple participants sitting in the same room, we recommend that everyone uses headphones or uses separate rooms. This stops any feedback or echoes on the online connection.
You are welcome to join the first webinar 15 minutes early, to troubleshoot your tech with our team. If you are unsure if you have suitable technology to enable you to participate in Addiction 101, please contact us before your first scheduled session, so we can assist with your technology issues.
Participants will be required to complete a short interactive e-learning module prior to attending the workshop. This module is designed to help participants recognise a range of substance, gambling and other problematic behaviours, explore perception of harm associated with these behaviours and introduce the Te Whare Tapa Whā model of wellbeing.
Anytime, anywhere, and any industry
Addiction 101 is currently delivered remotely via Zoom, to participants anywhere in New Zealand. We can accommodate up to 24 attendees in each workshop, which runs as three two-hour webinars over three days. We can run workshops for a specific industry or workplace and will work with you to understand your industry and the people who will be attending.
Blueprint for Learning is an NZQA accredited Private Training Establishment. We have the highest quality Category 1 External Education and Review rating in education achievement and self-assessment issued by NZQA.
Our training is interactive, participatory and experientially based – catering for the diverse needs of all our learners with an approach that consistently leads to exceptional levels of learner satisfaction.
