Karin Isherwood, Consultant Psychologist/Team Leader, Capital and Coast District Health Board Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services
Karin graduated in 1986 with a BA Psychology from the University of Connecticut, USA and in 1993 with her MA in Counselling Psychology also from the University of Connecticut.
Karin's work experience includes working as a case manager at Childhaven, a therapeutic day treatment programme for abused and neglected children in Seattle, USA and child psychotherapist, consultant psychologist and Team Leader (CAFS) at Capital and Coast DHB.
Karin is a registered clinical psychologist and has worked in the Team Leader position since 2001. She has 14 direct reports, covers a catchment area from Grenada North to north of Waikanae, and her team has approximately 260 clients in the region. Karin has responsibility for budget, staffing and the day-to-day management of the clinic.
Karin is a graduate of the first Executive Leadership and Management Programme and was the 'winner' of the Award.
