Psychologist / Managing Director
Martin is a registered psychologist and Managing Director of CPP Asia Pacific (CPPAP), a consulting and psychological test distribution company. He has worked as a psychologist in both clinical and organisational settings for more than 10 years. He has extensive experience providing consulting to local and international organisations in the areas of psychological assessment, leadership effectiveness, team performance and strategy.
Martin attained a doctorate in clinical neuropsychology from the University of Melbourne and commenced his career as a clinical neuropsychologist, working in the areas of acquired brain injury, dementia assessment and psychiatry. In recent years he moved to applying his psychological skills in organisations to assist companies to select, develop and retain high value managers and employees.
In his current role with CPPAP he is a member of the Executive Management team and is responsible for leading consulting assignments and presenting programs for the company’s range of psychological instruments and services throughout Australia and the Asia Pacific region. He conducts a range of certification programs to qualify business professionals, managers, human resource consultants and psychologists in the use of psychological tests, including the Myers-Briggs Type Indicator® (MBTI) instrument, and other world renowned instruments. Martin is frequently engaged by organisations and conferences to present interactive programs that are designed to enable individuals, teams, managers and organisations gain knowledge of how psychological drivers can improve leadership, communication, decision making, conflict management, team functioning, change management skills and selling techniques.
Martin has developed a reputation of delivering highly informative and entertaining presentations that relate to real and practical outcomes in and outside the workplace. He has provided consulting to a range of leading public and private sector organisations including, Amcor, Orica, AAMI, Cargill Australia, Victoria Police Force, Mercer, Australian Unity, BlueScope Steel, City West Water, Department of Primary Industries, Tourism Victoria, Luxottica and Australian Volunteers International.
He is a member of the Australian Psychological Society and its Recruitment & Membership Advisory group and is an Honorary Fellow of the School of Psychology, University of Melbourne.
