Before joining Blueprint in 2005 Helen Te’o had worked in the mental health sector for six years. She had also supported whānau with experience of mental illness.
Helen is the executive administrator for Blueprint, and with her team works tirelessly ‘behind the scenes’, supporting a diverse range of internal and external project managers and facilitators, stakeholders and workshop learners nationwide.
Organised, detailed, practical, and efficient, Helen’s support skills are complimented by her personality, warm heart, and ability to put anyone at ease – from her friends and colleagues at Blueprint to the people coming to the workshops.
“When someone arrives for one of our workshops, they walk into a beautiful and professional environment, all laid out ready for them. That means a lot to people, that they feel welcomed, comfortable and confident in their learning, and we set out to achieve it every time,” says Helen.
Helen hopes to extend her support skills even further by deepening her knowledge of tikanga and te reo Māori.
