Introduction to evidence-based supported employment – EBSE1
This one-day interactive training will enable learners to explore the theory and principles of evidence-based supported employment ( EBSE).
Participants will examine the key philosophies and principles along with international evidence for EBSE as a proven approach to helping people find paid work.
The workshop will encourage learners to develop an individual action plan to implement their learning from the workshop within their own workplace.
Learners will:
- learn the place and value of EBSE as an approach to supported employment
- explore the meaning of the fundamental principles of EBSE
- recognise the research base that supports EBSE as a successful approach to supported employment
- discuss the enablers, barriers and solutions to implementing EBSE
- develop an individual action plan within their own workplace for implementing EBSE.
Who should attend
This course is aimed at people who have a supported employment focus within their job. It would suit employment consultants, support workers, clinical staff and managers with an operational role within an organisation.
