Executive Leadership and Management Programme (ELMP)
Is leadership your future?
If you are working in the mental health, addictions, health or social service sectors in a leadership or management role and want to stretch yourself, this could be the course for you. Or perhaps you have someone in mind who would greatly benefit from Blueprint's unique leadership and management programme?
The ELMP is recognised as one of only two programmes in the world that sees consumer, clinical and management professionals studying together.
Key elements of the programme include:
- historical context of the sector
- personal awareness
- innovation
- work-lifestyle integration
- human resource management, including performance assessment
- strategic service planning
- media and communication
- lean thinking
- community development
- leadership in action
- change management.
The course runs from February – November 2011 and is held in Wellington.

National Certificate in Business
(First Line Management)
Are you a first line manager, team leader or service advisor working in the mental health, addiction or disability sectors? Do you want to be an inspirational, strong and capable leader?
Blueprint for Learning’s National Certificate in Business (First Line Management) is a level four NZQA recognised qualification. The programme is nationally recognised as the career foundation for first line managers working in the health and social service sectors.
Key elements of the programme include:
- communication skills and introduction to management
- leadership and team building
- planning work
- conflict management and problem solving.
The course runs for six months starting in February and March* and the learning includes four short block courses. There are three streams running in 2011; Auckland FLM, Wellington FLM and the National Service Advisor FLM (located in Wellington).
