Sonja Goldsack

Sonja Goldsack, Blueprint for Learning Sonja Goldsack
Project Manager/Facilitator

Sonja Goldsack currently works part-time at Blueprint as Project Manager/Facilitator. Sonja is well-known in New Zealand for her work in both the government and non-government mental health sector. Before joining Blueprint in 2006, Sonja was Senior Advisor at the Mental Health Commission. Sonja has also run her own mental health research, education and training consultancy for the last 10 years.

Sonja also continues to work at government level on the new paradigm work for mental health service provision within New Zealand. Sonja also has played a significant role in the Like Minds, Like Mine campaign since its start in 1997 and most recently, has authored Korowai Whaimana, a joint project between the Ministry of Health and the Human Rights Commission training tangata whaiora to educate peers in human rights.

Sonja is two thirds through a PhD focusing on recovery in New Zealand and believes that the results of this will provide a strong foundation to the differing ways that people within New Zealand see their own recovery and how mental health services can support them.
