Managing People in Organisations
EXEC521-09J
(15pts)
Managing people in organisations requires knowledge of human resource management to improve individual and organisational capability.
It occupies a central role that embraces strategy, staffing and change. It also demands a clear understanding of the nature of workplace relationships and the legal and social environments in which those relationships occur.
Like most contracts, the employment relationship is at its most vulnerable when things go wrong (e.g. health and safety, discrimination) or where events happen relatively rarely (e.g. dismissals or redundancies).
